My name is Yann Auzoux and I am Tennis Central's CEO and Master Pro. Let’s talk about my tennis track record because the ONLY truth I care about are results. I have coached countless players and teams, and they have all achieved phenomenal results. On the ATP tour I coached both men and women. In college I coached both a women's and men's Div 1 Team. For the last 17 years I have also been coaching a high school team that has been ranked #1 during the season and/or for the final league championship for 16 of those years. Our juniors have and continue to leave their mark on every level of the tennis rankings.

We are proud of our record and can confidently say that we know how to coach winners.

Here it is. Every year I get a group of players that are eager to make the varsity travel team but most of them have never competed. This is by far their #1 Achilles heal. As soon as we start the tryout matches, the inexperienced players that haven't been exposed to competition fold, and it is sad to watch them (and their parents who have invested lots of $ and time in tennis lessons) wonder what happened.
The answer is so simple, it pains me to say it. No matter how good you may be at playing tennis, lack of competition WILL inevitably be the barrier to achieving any real success in tennis. The sooner kids and parents realize the magic formula of PRACTICE + COMPETITION, the sooner they will hit their winning stride - and have real potential in both high school varsity as well as college.

So there you have it. It is such a simple formula but only about 5% of junior tennis players are implementing it! Crazy, right?! So, for the first time, we are making our unmatched winning expertise available to a select few that are committed to becoming better competitors.

WHERE IS IT?
From January 116 - end of March the Tennis Central Travel Team will have 6 weekend team matches as part of the Montgomery County Winter Tennis League. All matches are held at local indoor clubs throughout Montgomery County. Players do not need to be residents of Montgomery County to participate.
WHO IS IT WITH?
Celebrity Coach Yann Auzoux, French team captain Alexis Baguelin, and the amazing international Tennis Central coaching staff.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Girls and boys, ages 10 to 18 who are committed to competing 2 to 4 times per month. Players will be assigned to groups based on their level of play or can choose to create their own team during the registration process.
There are divisions for all skill levels (rookie, intermediate and advanced) so we encourage all to apply. If your child is new to competition or continues to face mental or technical hurdles during competition, they are welcome here.

We will be coaching up 20 teams, so pick your friends and join the fun! We reserve the right to choose the final roster to guarantee a great experience for all.

WHEN IS IT?
The Tennis Central Travel Team will start in January, 2021 and go through the end of March 2021.

WHAT IS THE SAFETY PROTOCOL IN PLACE?
MCTA will provide balls for all players so that players can serve with their own can of balls avoiding as much contact as possible. Tennis Central will also provide a Team Mask to each of our team members.

This option is perfect for players who need a gentle introduction to competition. Participants travel as a team, wearing the same colors, practicing together, cheering for one another, winning together, and supporting each other through good and bad times. This option is COED and designed for players eager to play varsity & college. There is no better way to approach competition.
This is open for boys and girls, 10 to 18 years of age.
