COMPETITION

Winter is the least active competitive season of the year. Travel Team is the only competitive option to play in the local area. Our coaching staff elevates this experience with their constant presence and supervision at each of our pupils matches with match notes in tow.

COACHING

With their constant presence at the matches and written reports, our coaching staff closes the practice to competition feedback loop. Players are now able to accurately share what areas of their game needs improvements and actually act on it.

flexible substitutions

Five players make up each team. Four play in each match: Two singles matches, and one doubles match. This leaves you with great flexibility if conflicts cause you to miss a match. We can substitute players from other teams to fill roster needs. This also lets you play more matches than your team, if you'd like to serve as substitute for other teams.

winter & spring

Continuity and consistency is the only way to get ahead of the pack. We encourage all of you to look at your development as an annual season where each part has a role to play. Spring is the launch pad to your big summer plans.

team bonding/social events

We took your children's feedback to heart and added social elements to the team experience that no one else has thought of. Let's bring the fun back in Team Spirit and allow their on-court friendships to blossom.

uniform/team gear

Nothing makes you feel more professional than a great tennis outfit. Our designers will have you dressed to the nines this year including team jacket, t-shirt and mask.

spring team practice

While most of our winter players are practicing with us at BCC, for the spring we have built-in individual team practices to further build the team bonds and skills. (1 hour per week for spring season)

decoding varsity

As a team member, you will have unlimited access to the Decoding Varsity private website to continue to have access to important information to further improve and accelerate your journey.

There is nothing more important than regular checks ins. We want to make sure that parents and players alike are always heard and educated. With our educational parents and players seminars, you will get a leg up on tennis education.

...we know, so we created the Tennis Central Travel Team

WHERE IS IT?

From January 8- March 20 and April 2-June 5 the Tennis Central Travel Team will put forth a delegation to the Montgomery County Tennis Leagues. All matches are held at local indoor clubs throughout Montgomery County. Players do not need to be residents of Montgomery County to participate.

WHO IS IT WITH?

Celebrity Coach Yann Auzoux, French team captain Alexis Baguelin, and the amazing international Tennis Central coaching staff.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Girls and boys, ages 8 to 18 who are committed to competing 2 to 4 times per month. Players will be assigned to groups based on their level of play or can choose to create their own team during the registration process.

There are divisions for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced) so we encourage all to apply. If your child is new to competition or continues to face mental or technical hurdles during competition, they are welcome here.

We will be coaching up 20 teams, so pick your friends and join the fun! We reserve the right to choose the final roster to guarantee a great experience for all.

The deadline to register is December 28th. Feel free to invite friends!

WHEN IS IT?

Matches take place in the afternoon on either Saturday or Sunday. Exact match schedules are released in the first week of January after all registrations are received.

TRAVEL TEAM DETAILS

This option is perfect for players who need a gentle introduction to competition. Participants travel as a team, wearing the same colors, practicing together, cheering for one another, winning together, and supporting each other through good and bad times. This option is COED and designed for players eager to play varsity & college. There is no better way to approach competition.

This is open for boys and girls, 8 to 18 years of age.

COST INCLUDES:

TEAM INDOOR TOURNAMENTS : Starting January 8th 2022 until March 20nd 2022 on Saturday or Sunday afternoons. Expect 8 matches.

PRE- AND POST-MATCH COACHING : Each team has their own coach that is personally invested in their success and growth.

TEAM UNIFORM : Luxury team attire included

MATCH ANALYSIS & FEEDBACK : Each participant gets match analysis and feedback

STRETCHING/NUTRITION SOLUTIONS/MENTAL PREPARATION : Each participant gets access to stretching/nutrition solutions/mental preparation as needed.

BEGINNING OF SEASON AND END OF SEASON TEAM PARTIES: The last two years has shown us that sports can be a great conduit to friendships and these events are designed for fun and socialization.

EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS: For both parents and players, these coach-led calls will address both on-court and off-court topics.
